Welcome to the Research Projects Portal of the Faculty of Chemistry!
The Schulich Faculty of Chemistry members offer a wide array of fascinating research topics for performing an advanced research project. This project is given in the Chemistry Faculty under the course ‘Advanced research project in chemistry’ (124353), or equivalent courses in other faculties (e.g. course no. 114229 in the Physics Faculty, or course no. 315014 in the Materials Science and Engineering faculty, etc.).
The project is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the active research groups in the faculty and to experience research life in one of the labs during the semester or summer break (the project timeline and duration are highly flexible). The advanced project is intended for students who have surpassed a certain threshold of academic credit (varies between faculties, check the course website), and have sufficient background for executing the research. The project can be performed in different volumes of academic credit (e.g. 4 or 6 in Chemistry) depending on the research’s extent. In some cases, projects can also be offered for graduate students. These projects are offered for all of the Technion undergraduate student community, and not only for Chemistry undergrads, with the only limitation that the project topic complies with the relevant faculty requirements (specified in the table below).
At the end of the project, a final report must be completed and submitted. The working hours in the labs are flexible according to coordination with the supervisor. To register you should first find a supervisor and coordinate with him through the contact details below.
For your convenience, all updated available projects from the different research groups are summarized below with the project topic, character, the applicable faculties, and contact details.
