Abstract
Quantum batteries are suggested to be a futuristic approach to energy storage, employing the unique quantum properties of systems [1]. These batteries offer astonishing advantages that surpass modern energy storage technologies. Quantum batteries exhibit significantly higher energy density, enabling them to store and release energy at greater capacities [2]. They also feature ultra-fast charging and discharging times, enhanced energy efficiency, extended lifetimes, and the ability to share energy through quantum entanglement [3]. Furthermore, quantum batteries can simultaneously store energy in multiple states, adapt to varying power demands, and leverage quantum coherence for precise control and optimization [4]. While still in the early stages, the remarkable advantages of quantum batteries hold immense potential for transforming energy storage applications [5]. In this talk, I will review couple of the recent papers on the subject.
